Favourite Norwegian trout streams part II

This beautiful river is situated only 3 hours from our capital Oslo, it is also one of our most popular destinations for trout flyfishing.
I have a very ambivalent realationship to this place! It all comes down to pressure - to many people around.

Norwegians are usually spoiled when it comes to fishing pressure, and finding your own hotspot is not difficult if you are able to walk more then 30 minutes.

This river is one of the first rivers in Norway that started c&r to maintain a stabil population of wild trout. This has been very successful, and today it holds a healty population of wild trout with a avarage size of 2,5 lbs, and not unusual with trout up to 4lbs.

                                                                   a nice early season trout

These photos speak for themselves.....
